Laganvale (Metal Technology) Band

My first involvement with Laganvale Band began when I was still at Primary School where I had played the cornet. Enquiries by my father led to being introduced to Billy Brown who was then in charge of the Junior Band at Laganvale. It was under the tutoring of Billy that I progressed to the senior band.

When doing my time there I played all cornet positions (including soprano). I also played principal for a period, which included the European Championships in Norway.

Furthermore, whilst working in Scotland for a number of years I also had the privilege of playing with the Whitburn band, under the baton of Philip McCann.
