The latest band CD "In Perfect Peace" can be bought from any member of the Band, or can be ordered through this site (here).  Price is £12 for the CD (plus p&p if ordered from WEB site).  We are also selling the current CD and the last CD for a combined price of £15 so you can have double the listening pleasure!

14th October 2007
The brass section of the NIBA championship was held yesterday in The Market Place Theatre Armagh.  In the Championship Brass section, we gave a good performance on a very warm stage.  However, the adjudicator felt two other bands gave a better blow so we ended up in 3rd place.  The full results were:
1st - Murley (190)
2nd - 1st Old Boys (189)
3rd - Laganvale (Metal Technology) (188)
4th - Strabane (186)

Also more news on our CD.  The CD should be ready for final approval next week after which it will be available for purchase.  Keep watching this space.

Laganvale (Metal Technology) Band moves to a new website (and if you are reading this then you are there!).  Please see the Events page for our upcoming engagements.

3rd and 4th June 2007
The Band recorded its 2nd CD which will be called "In Perfect Peace".  The CD is dedicated to two recently deceased long time members of the Band and will be available to purchase in September 2007.  It is being produced by Komodo Recordings (www.komodorecordings.com).

5th May 2007 : European  Competition - B Section
The Laganvale (Metal Technology) Band once again proudly represented Northern Ireland in the B Section of the European Brass Band Championships.  This year the contest was held in the Symphony Hall, Birmingham. 

The band played well and finished up in 3rd place behind Phoenix West Midlands (England) and the eventual winners Brass Band Frener-Reifer Pfeffersberg (Italy).

Full Result:

2. Phoenix West Midlands (England) 90 points
3. Laganvale (Metal Technology) Band (Northern Ireland) 88 points


31st March 2007 : B.B.L. Contest
The Band gave a good performance of the own choice test piece "English Heritage" to get a 2nd place result.  The winners were Strabane Concert Brass.

24th February 2007 : Brass in the Valley Entertainments Contest
The Band were glad to enter this resurrected Entertainments contest held in the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown.  The Band played excellently and was awarded 1st place in the Championship section.  The Band's soprano player Mark Ruddock also took the soloist prize.

17th February 2007 : BBL Solos and Small Ensembles
The Band's Principal Cornet player Dessie Neill won the senior 'A' solos.  Dessie has won this solo contest numerous times over the years.  Congratulations to Dessie.  See the full results at the BBL site.
